Well, that didn’t work out. When I did go, I ended up using my favorite old Fenwick fly rod. I have had a couple of these really handy travel combo rods over the years and they are great. Extremely well made and great to put in with your camping gear for that unexpected chance to fish. Or in your Harley’s saddle bags for that trip to the mountains for some fly fishing and camping. The box is about 18 long to give you some idea of how big the rod in it’s case would be. A lightweight reel, either fly or spinning, a few flies, lures or some light weight poppers and you’re all set for that farm pond with those big bass rising for the bugs. Or that mountain stream with some dry flies. The handle reverses for fly or spin fishing. The only time the box was opened was when the guy at the Eagle Claw factory store opened it up to make certain it was ok. Hasn’t been open since. The rest of the stuff is new in unopened packages.
