Shakespeare Ugly Stik 9 ft 2 pc Shimano Baitrunner 4500b Combo Captain’s Special!! Old school’em with this set up. This is the vintage Shakespeare Ugly Stik rod and vintage Shimano Baitrunner reel – built like a tank they don’t make these rods and reels like this anymore and should last you for years to come if taken good care of. They are both in excellent shape. The reel includes a gold tone spare spool (worth a lot). The reel is spooled with brand new Cortland Master Braid 30 lb moss green and the spare spool is loaded with bronze 50 lb Cortland Master braid like new. This line is the BEST braid (this stuff is wind knot proof – never used a braid that withstood the wind nearly as well) – doesn’t fray, bleed color, or lose its shape and will last for years. They don’t make em like this anymore and a setup like this in this great of shape is a rare find. Useful for both saltwater or freshwater fishing – the big ones will not get away! Vintage Shakespeare Wonderod – 7ft 2pc Presidential model. Very good condition for its age — Shakespeare Wonderod was the predecessor to the Ugly Stik and made using the same process. The Okuma Avenger ABF-30b is like new also. I bought it as a collector’s item but it is ready to be fished with. I used this set up only once a few summers ago and I caught a 5 1/2 pound walleye and a pike on it at the Grand River Marsh dam in Wisconsin.
