RARE – vintage Abu Garcia Conolon line tapered seat spinning rod, 6′ 6 with Shimano Quick Cast reel included. Pre spooled, Shimano “Quick Fire” trigger casting reel allows casting with one hand, just pull the line up to the trigger, and the bail opens without having to hold the line with the other hand. The rod is a rare tapered seat 2 piece high quality rod, hard to find. The rod is in good condition, but shows some wear. No rips in comfort grip base or damage to real seat, rod eyes, or blank aside from minor wear and tear scratches that may be found, and equipped with plastic lined eyes typical of quality rods to reduce line wear and tear (over metal eye rods). The reel is in almost new condition, fantastic reaction to casting, closing bail with a spin, rear drag adjustment for changes during the fight and help avoid line breakage. I use Shimano reels exclusively as I believe they are the best designed and built reels in the world. I also prefer the taper rod to extra foam or cork ahead of the reel as I find the sensitivity of slight pulls from fish to be much better, allowing you to be ready to set the hook when that lunker takes the bait.
