Vintage 1969 Garcia (Model 2581-D rod) and Mitchell (Model 510 reel) Combo

Garcia Conolon Three-Star, Model 2581-D, 6 ½, light action, fast taper, ¼ – ½ oz lures, 4-8 lb line. The rod has been stored ever since. Rod photos are attached. A single guide (on the tip-section closest to the ferrulephoto attached) is slightly misshapen. Other guides are in VG condition. The hook-keeper (with a spare swivel-clip attached) is slightly twisted to one side. The reel-seat mechanism is in excellent condition. Thread wraps are in VG condition. Guide feet remain securely attached. I have not attempted to clean the cork. Rod blanks have honest wear. The rod is ready-to-fish as is. While the rods decal is heavily worn (with only segments of its decal remaining), the rod is in-fact a Model 2581-D. According to Mitchell records, the serial number is 1968 vintage, but the reel was first listed for sale in 1969 and was produced through 1971. The reel has been stored ever since. The reel functions properly. Reel photos are attached. Because the original red rubber bail-lever bumper disintegrated with use/age, I replaced it with a new-old-stock Mitchell bumper.
